3 Things I’m Loving

As busy moms, we are always thinking about the desires of our loved-ones and often time leaving ourselves little, to no room to self-indulge. I try to make sure that I have a few things that I really enjoy as a sort of reward for myself. Self-care can seem foreign or even selfish when we are so used to being the nurturers and putting others first. However, taking the time to pour into our mental, physical, and emotional health is vital. How can we continue to pour into others if we never take the time to fill ourselves up? You can’t give what you don’t have. By finding small things that you love, you will be able to give your best “YOU” to the people in your life.

I wanted to share some items I’m currently loving that I indulge in, from time to time. I hope this gets you to thinking about a few things you can treat yourself with.

1. Beautycounter’s Daily Shampoo.  I love this brand because it’s non-toxic and smells great. A shampoo is something we have to use but the scary thing is, they aren’t regulated by the FDA and so most shampoos end up having multiple toxins in them…and nobody has to warn us about it. So, its like “Wash, Rinse, Repeat, AT YOUR OWN RISK!”.  Those toxins get into your pores and into your system. The top 5 toxins to check for on your label are, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS), Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES), Parabens, Fragrance, and Polyethylene Glycol. Take a look at the shampoo you currently use and if any of these are in there, you should really try Beautycounter’s non-toxic shampoo. Beautycounter has a mission that states that they want to “get safer products in the hands of everyone.” …that’s a mission I can really appreciate.  Take a look for yourself here.

2. Sun Cups From Amazon. This is the delicious alternative to peanut butter. This Sun Cups filling is Sunbutter which is a spread made from sunflower seeds. This means you don’t have to worry about any allergic reactions and they still are packed with protein, magnesium, Vitamin E, and healthy fats. These Sun Cups were created using only 5 basic ingredients. So, you know when you’re looking for that late night sweet indulgence but you don’t want to feel too guilty about it in the morning?! This is it, my friend, ts the perfect sweet way to end a long day. Plus you guys know I love Amazon and how easy it is to stay stocked with my favorite things. I highly recommend you order these here.

3.Beautiful Pink Flowers. I love bringing these in to brighten my home on these cloudy days we’ve been having. Whenever my boys go shopping with my hubby they make sure to stop and pick out some flowers to bring to me. Isn’t that so sweet? It ALWAYS melts my heart and makes me smile every time I look at them. Something special they learned from their Dad. If you are looking to improve your mood and energy level, get yourself some fresh flowers…they don’t have to be pink but I think they are the best!

Happy Indulging!
